Sixty-Vehicle Pileup on I-94

A car ran underneath a semitrailer truck in a blinding snowstorn, leading to this chain-reaction pileup Friday on Interstate Hwy 94 about 30 miles north of the Indiana line. At least one person was killed and many were trapped in their cars. A 12-mile stretch of I-94, the main thoroughfare connecting Detroit and Chicago, was closed in both directions.
